Better EMI filtering in less space is claimed to be possible with new arrays of Murata common mode choke coils. Two high impedance filters in an EIA 1206 package, only 1,15 mm high, are achieved by thin-film processing and advanced Murata ferrite materials. Magnetically screened, common mode impedances range from 90 to 440 Ω at 100 MHz and DC resistances are 0,7 to 3,0 Ω. Rated current is 100 mA and rated voltage is 10 V d.c. The operating temperature range is -40 to 85°C.
These tiny devices (DLP31D) can filter out common mode noise for LVDS and IEEE1394 interface applications in PC main boards, notebook PCs, printers, scanners, LCD monitors, etc. Both flow and reflow soldering are acceptable.
