Test & Measurement
A new interactive CD helps engineers select the best software and hardware for their test, measurement and industrial control applications, saving valuable time in configuring and developing systems. Available from National Instruments, engineers can use the new Measurement and Control Designer 2004 CD to quickly and easily select the best software and hardware for their test, measurement and industrial control applications. This can save valuable time and resources in configuring and developing systems, says NI.
The CD interfaces with an online advisor at the NI website to generate hardware and software recommendations based on application requirements such as temperature range, shock, vibration, determinism and I/O signal types. Engineers also can specify their controller, I/O modules and signal conditioning options, as well as design complete scada systems using the advisor.
Additionally the CD includes many helpful resources and tools to reduce set-up time and costs, including example programs, video tutorials, application notes, white papers and customer solutions. Engineers can also access detailed descriptions of new NI products, such as industrial digital I/O boards and Compact FieldPoint distributed I/O.
