19 May 2004 Test & Measurement

Tempo has introduced a new telephone test set designed for communication technicians who need a telephone test set with a strong range of features in a compact and easy-to-use package.

The Model PE830 Tele-Mate Pro Test Set is a fully featured butt-in test telephone with loudspeaker line monitoring and an LCD display for user information. It expands broadly on the utility of its predecessor, the PE810 Tele-Mate.

In addition to the basic telephone and testing functions found in a high quality test telephone like the Tele-Mate, the Tele-Mate Pro offers a number of features made possible by a graphic display. That includes line voltage and current display, incoming caller ID, simple access to a redial directory and a powerful speed dialler.

The set-to-set intercom capability of the PE830 is an innovation that is important to many users who need to coordinate the installation of wiring without having phone lines handy. Other key advancements include a patented high-voltage alarm, a high current alarm and a patented quick-release, non-metallic belt clip composed of Verton RF - a strong, lightweight structural composite.

In an introductory offer the company is give buyers a free Tempo 77GX Pro tracing tone generator with purchase of an PE830.
