Renesas Technology's new single-function 6-channel electronic volume IC is claimed to offer the industry's lowest output noise voltage of 0,85 µVrms. Suited for use in audio products such as home theatre AV amplifiers, DVD players, and mini audio systems, the M61538FP also offers a very low total harmonic distortion of 0,0012%. Also being released are the M61539FP, which incorporates a high audio-frequency/low audio-frequency 2-band tone control function, and the M61540FP, which incorporates a 2-band tone control function and a 5-input selector function. The three devices support a single power-supply operating voltage (for the first time) as well as ± dual power supplies achieving a maximum output amplitude of 4,5 Vrms.
