Elen Enclosures' CRN range of steel enclosures is a no-frills economy range suited for any 'run of the mill' application (motor starters, terminal boxes etc). The enclosures are made from a continuous length of sheet steel with rear wall welded to the frame and gutter profiled front. The front door is fitted with a continuous in situ moulded foam gasket, double bar or square locks with non-metallic cams, concealed hinges, two perforated reinforcing profiles that also allow fitting of equipment and accessories (IP55 protection).
Earth continuity between enclosure body, door and chassis plate is facilitated by copper plated M6 earth studs. Large gland plates provide space for high density installations. The enclosures are treated by iron phosphate and chromate-passivated prior to electrostatic coating with RAL 7032 grey epoxy polyester powder finish. This results in superior paint adhesion and provides very good protection against corrosion.
The CRN series is currently offered in eight sizes ranging from 350 x 250 x 150 to 800 x 600 x 250 mm.
