True-RMS voltage transducers with 4-20 mA loop power

LEM has introduced a family of voltage transducers for the true-RMS measurement of AC voltage in the range of 120, 250 and 400 V.

The ATVR series provides a ±1% measurement accuracy and has galvanic isolation between the primary and the secondary circuit of up to 2,5 kV. The bandwidth is 40 to 5 kHz and the response time is better than 250 ms. The 4-20 mA loop powered output is adapted for many types of control (PLC, computer, etc). The case is DIN rail mounting at 22,5 mm with finger safe terminals.

The ATVR series is well adapted for applications where the voltage measurement has to be more accurate than a monitoring relay (eg, voltage drop or overvoltage which can have a critical influence on PLC or computers). The true-RMS function also provides an accurate measurement for pulsed or noisy signals, for example, close to a variable frequency drive.
