Interactive terminal systems presented at Futurex

14 July 2004 Manufacturing / Production Technology, Hardware & Services

Rittal presented its innovative ITS Opti-Line II range of interactive information terminal systems at this year's Futurex. Thanks to a very interesting design re-launch and the integration of the most up-to-date technology, Rittal says it has successfully managed to further develop the popular ITS Arc-Line terminal system with regard to aesthetics and technology.

The stable construction, of steel plate or stainless steel, is now available with new 17" or 19" TFT technology and offers more space for installing additional hardware. This means terminal components with 482,6 mm (19") mounting dimensions can be installed internally. There are two versions: one fitted with a TFT touchscreen display without a keyboard and the other fitted with an IST keyboard, which integrates in a keyboard recess.

Both solutions target ergonomics and user friendliness. In addition, its robustness ensures it remains secure in place and also provides high protection against vandalism. The integration of an additional sound system is also possible without jeopardising its IP 55 rating, making it also suitable for industrial automation.

An additional electrical height adjustment system is now available for Rittal's ITS Opti-Wall system. This enables children or people in wheelchairs to use the multimedia terminal because they can adjust the height to suit their needs by pressing the buttons.

ITS Out-Line Wall for the semi-outdoor sector

Rittal's ITS Out-Line Wall model is a development of its 'Opti-Wall' wall terminal for use in the semi-outdoors. Used in public areas, eg, railway stations, airports and underground stations, a PC-system specially designed for terminal system applications can also be used. A sound system with IP55 rating and climate control kit (heating system and air filters) can be integrated. The aluminium enclosures can be individually painted, and transparent trim and anti-rain guard also ensure optimum system operation.
