Precision torque screwdrivers for assembly and service

25 October 2000 Manufacturing / Production Technology, Hardware & Services

ASA, a leader in precision screwdriver technology, through local distributor Arena Electronics, offers manufacturers high quality precision electric (220 V) and pneumatic screwdrivers for assembly work on the production line.

In view of the increased demand for standardised protection for worker safety, health and for the environment, ASA says its screwdrivers conform to the principle of ergonomic engineering and environmental protection. All products are lightweight and easy to handle, particularly for female workers. These products have adopted many patented features such as: ESD safe (electronic discharge protection structure), low vibration (shock), disc brake structure as well as low energy high efficiency motors. ASA screwdrivers are designed for low noise, low energy consumption and low maintenance. For complying ISO 9002 requirements, these precision tools should be considered.

Both the electric (220 V) and pneumatic ranges have stepped numeric torque indicators on the front of the screwdrivers that allows the easy setting of the torque. Each model has its own torque range and features. Torque accuracy on both electric and pneumatic is within 3% repetitively which is essential for ISO 9002 manufacturing and service requirements.

Features such as semi-auto shut-off and full-auto shut-off, push-to-start or trigger-start are options for the electric (220 V) models. All models offer forward and reverse as a standard feature. The ASA pneumatic screwdrivers are full-auto shut-off and push-to-start. They weigh only 440 g and are 180 mm in length. The grip diameter is only 29 mm.

All models use 1/4" hex bits and sockets. Accessories such as adjustable suspension stands to be used with suspension springs or balancers, bits and sockets are also available.
