The CANview Bluetooth and CANview USB from Ceibo are two intelligent interfaces for the transfer of CAN data between diverse CAN networks or the PC.
Ceibo's CANview Bluetooth allows one to exchange CAN data between devices with a Bluetooth interface via the serial port profile. This may include not only CANview Bluetooth devices, but also PCs and even PDAs that support this profile and have the necessary interface. PC software for communicating with the CANbus via CANview Bluetooth is also provided.
This product supports the company's 'CANview' CAN-to-RS232 converter, which allows users to operate CANview Bluetooth like this converter. In other words, one can continue using existing software tools such as CANview Flasher, CAN Device Configurator and Monitor. Also, one may operate CANview Bluetooth in CANopen Slave Mode, which allows CANopen participants to communicate with other Bluetooth-enabled devices via CANview Bluetooth.
Ceibo's CANview USB is a compact interface that allows data to be exchanged quickly with a PC. As such, data can be transmitted unfiltered to a PC from CANbus systems at rates of 1 Mbps and a high bus load. The connection to the device is established using a virtual serial COM port that behaves as a conventional RS232 interface in all aspects, except that it supports the high transfer rates of the USB interface.
Since the device also supports commands issued by the CANview CAN-to-RS232 converter, the two devices are interchangeable. The device, powered through the USB port, has a powerful 8-bit microcontroller that can be programmed from a Windows PC. This enables the device to support even customer-specific CAN protocols or to run capacity-hungry applications without problems.
CANview USB comes as an OEM device or in a robust aluminium housing for rugged use.
