Infineon Technologies has added 84 new products to its single digital transistor family (also known as resistor equipped transistors or RETs). The new additions improve overall system reliability, also offering substantial cost and board space advantages thanks to the miniaturised packages, says the company.
The expanded portfolio now targets all applications for digital load switching and IC input control. All devices are available in miniature SC75 (SOT416) packages, miniature flatlead TSFP-3 (SOT490/SC-89) packages (1,4 x 0,8 x 0,59 mm) and TSLP-3 (SOT883/SC101) packages. With a footprint 86% smaller than the industry-standard SOT23 packages, TSLP-3 is the world's smallest industrial plastic leadless package at 1,0 x 0,6 x 0,4 mm).
Features of these silicon discretes are: reduced pick-and-place effort; simplified circuit design; reduced board space; small plastic surface-mounted device packages: SOT, TSFP, TSLP; and increased design freedom.
