With the SHM is Schurter's new hydraulic-magnetic circuit breaker product line for equipment. The family is divided in four different mounting forms and sizes for front panel mounting as well as for DIN-rail mounting. The circuit breakers cover 1- to 3-pole, current range of 0,1 to 100 A. All types are available with different tripping characteristics, finely graded currents as well as with different internal switching options such as parallel tripping, dual control, alarm switch, auxiliary switch or relay tripping.
Hydraulic-magnetic circuit breakers for equipment with time-lag tripping characteristics are suitable to protect motors, solenoids, relays or installations. The ones with more quick-acting characteristics protect components as power supplies and semiconductor circuits. Typical application areas are cellphone base stations, telephone systems or ADSL- and UMTS-stations. Further application areas are computer systems, power supplies, test- and measurement systems and industry processing machines.
