New LED options for colourful switch

EAO has added a new size option to its innovative range of Series 95 colour-changing pushbuttons. The new, medium-sized 15,88 mm² pushbutton complements the other sizes: 12,7 mm² and 19,05 mm²; offering designers even more choice for creating control panels that are functional and intuitive to use. In particular, EAO recommends these switches for audio, video, mixing-desk and lighting-console applications.

Series 95 offers the choice to add up to three LEDs on the 15,88 mm and 19,05 mm or up to two on the 12,7 mm version. The activation of each LED and the resultant colour change, lead by the PCB circuitry, makes them suitable for showing the different operating status of equipment. The full-face illumination provides superior visibility, even when viewed from the side, allowing users to view the status of each function at a glance.

For marking purposes, the diffuser can be either printed or engraved, or a film insert can be fitted between the diffuser and the lens. A choice of concave and flat lenses are offered as standard.

The Series 95s feature one N/O self-cleaning gold-plated switch element rated at a minimum 1 mVd.c./100 μA and maximum 48 V d.c./50 mA. Its overall height is 24 mm maximum. They are suitable for mounting on PCBs between 1,5 to 2,5 mm thick and can be snap-mounted to the PCB for easy flow-soldering and require no positioning tool.
