New distribution manager for IR has special responsibility for Future across Europe

Power semiconductor manufacturer International Rectifier (IR) has announced the appointment of Andy Muggeridge to the position of Distribution Manager. In his new role, Muggeridge will work with a number of UK distributors and will have special responsibility for growing sales of International Rectifier's products through the company's pan-European distribution agreement with Future Electronics.

Muggeridge joins International Rectifier from Future where he worked first as a Product Manager and then as the distributor's Strategic Product Manager, Europe, for discrete components. Prior to joining Future in 1994 he held a number of roles at electronics distributor Jermyn and, subsequently, at Arrow Electronics following its purchase of Jermyn.
