Freescale has introduced new members to its family of acceleration sensors. The MMA6200Q series features low g, XY axis sensing and is designed to meet measurement requirements of small forces resulting from tilts, motion, positioning, shock or vibration. Sensing capabilities are enabled with MEMS technology and the sensor is surface-micromachined. A g-cell is coupled with ASIC providing acceleration measurement with amplification, signal conditioning, low-pass filter and temperature compensation. The MMA623x and MMA626x (high sensitivity) features 2,7 V to 3,6 V operation, linear output and ratiometric performance. The devices in 6 x 6 x 1,98 mm quad flat no-lead (QFN) package have a robust design with high shock survivability.
