The MIC5319 is a high-performance, 500 mA LDO regulator, offering extremely high PSRR (up to 70 dB @1 kHz) and very low noise while consuming low ground current, says the manufacturer, Micrel.
Ideal for battery-operated applications, it features 1% accuracy, low-dropout voltage (200 mV @ 500 mA), and low ground current at light load (typically 90 μA). Equipped with a logic-compatible enable pin, the MIC5319 can be put into a zero-off-mode current state, drawing no current when disabled.
The MIC5319 is a μCap design operating with very small ceramic output capacitors for stability, thereby reducing required board space and component cost. It is available in fixed-output voltages and adjustable output voltages in the compact 2 x 2 mm MLF leadless package and thin SOT-23-5 package. Output noise is a low 30 μVrms, and turn-on time is 40 μs typical. Input voltage range is 2,5 to 5,5 V. Additional voltage options are available.
