To provide suitable surge voltage protection for the wide range of end devices and installation possibilities used in consumer electronics, Phoenix Contact has expanded its adapter connector and socket strip ranges with two new Coaxtrab devices. The C-TV/HIFI surge voltage protection connector, with a limit frequency of 1 GHz, is ideal for aerial inputs with TV connectors to DIN 45325. The C-TV-SAT aerial protective connector, with an F connector and a limit frequency of 2 GHz, is specially designed for satellite systems. Both are simply looped into the aerial cable to ensure safe reception.
The protective connectors are supplied with additional adapters to enable the installation to be adapted to the existing devices. To provide all-round protection, it is important to ensure that the surge voltage protection is also provided for the mains supply.
