Precision GDT surge protector for surface mount

Bourns offers a 2-electrode GDT surge protection device for surface mounting. The industry-leading quality and features of the Bourns miniature 2035 Series GDT continue in this new SM version. Compatible with pick-and-place assembly systems, the SM device has a 5,5 x 5,3 mm footprint and is ideal for high-density applications such as PCBs for telecommunications, commercial and industrial applications.
The device has surge handling capability with specifications of >10 operations of 5 kA, 8x20 ms surge and >500 operations of 100 A, 10 x 700 ms surge and capacitance of <1 pF at 1 MHz. Standard voltages range from 90 V to 600 V.
Key features: leadless, surface mount for economical assembly; compact mini-size; high surge current rating; low capacitance and insertion loss; stable breakdown throughout life.
