Data loss and systems failure due to environmental dangers can involve enormous cost risk. Rittal thus developed its CMC-Top Concept that offers a new dimension in protecting against hazards using environmental sensors to monitor temperature, humidity, voltage, water, airflow and smoke.
With the CMC-TC all environmental factors are permanently monitored and any potential risks logged and indicated in good time, ensuring appropriate counteractive action can be initiated automatically or by a remote monitoring facility, says the company. It can be tailored to requirements, with all monitoring functions and sensors freely selectable. This allows applications to be configured cost-effectively and in a targeted manner.
Rittal says that the CMC-TC is capable of communicating via virtually all standard protocols and can be quickly integrated into existing IT infrastructure. The modular layout of the system allows almost limitless extendibility.
