The SI-3000LU from Allegro Microsystems is a low-dropout voltage regulator integrated circuit in a 5-pin SOT-89 surface-mount package. Its size and rating make it suitable for use in portable, battery-powered equipment such as palmtop computers and personal digital assistants.
There are versions with voltage outputs of 1,5, 1,8, 2,5, 3,0 and 3,3 V; there is also an adjustable model. Typical output voltage regulation is ±2% and maximum dropout voltage is less than 500 mV at 250 mA. Quiescent current is less than 150 µA while the circuit current in the output off-state is less than 1 µA. Ripple rejection ratio is typically 50 dB at 10 kHz.
