Small form factor for fibre connectivity

The issue of fibre-to-the-desktop is a constant topic of conversation, says Molex Premise Networks. The company has now launched the MTRJ product range, a small form factor ideal for fibre-to-the-desk applications.
The Molex polish-less MTRJ connector is the latest development in small form factor connectors and handles two fibres within a single, pre-polished, polymer ferrule. The MTRJ connector provides both excellent fibre retention and stability, two key considerations when selecting structured cabling components - particularly fibre. Notably, the MTRJ reduces the space required for active equipment, panels, wall-plates and enclosures by a 50% throughout the network.
The extensive MTRJ product range consists of field-mountable connectors and tooling; factory-mountable connectors; duplex adapters for MTRJ cut-outs; simplex SC cut-outs; duplex MTRJ patch cords; hybrid patch cords and all associated patch panels and enclosures.
