The LM5010 is a 75 V buck regulator IC with all the functions needed to implement an efficient power management solution capable of supplying in excess of 1 A load current says manufacturer National Semiconductor. The LM5010 complements the company's LM5007, a 75 V, 0,5 A buck regulator, and integrates unique high-frequency control circuitry that enables designers to use the regulator with smaller filters and fewer external components.
Key features include: input voltage range of 8 V to 75 V; valley-current limit at 1,25 A typical; integrated 80 V buck switch, startup regulator, and current sense resistor; no loop compensation required; 5 μs fast transient response; adjustable switching frequency to 1 MHz; adjustable 2,5 V to Vin-2 V output voltage; soft-start and thermal shutdown protection.
The LM5010 comes in 4 by 4 mm LLP or TSSOP package.
