The series of switches called 'th-tron' by TH Contact can be described as robust, clean and 'intelligent'. A stable touch surface without gaps or openings allows no room for dust and dirt to accumulate. The manufacturer claims the high hygiene requirements of medical technology and the food industry are satisfied. The small switches are available in stainless steel or plastic. Piezo technology and electronic functions are used in an optimum way. The switches are self-monitoring, provide acoustic switching confirmation and ensure maximum operating reliability. They are claimed to be short-circuit-proof, insensitive to vibration and respond to even light operation. The stainless steel version can be supplied with coloured or illuminated ring. The plastic model has an integrated illuminated ring. Surface or panel mounting is possible depending on the version. Modern fields of application are in outdoor equipment and installations, in wet and hygiene zones and in areas subject to dirt.
