Metal squeegees vs rubber squeegees

26 January 2005 Manufacturing / Production Technology, Hardware & Services

Transition Automation is an international manufacturer for the electronics assembly industry. The company says that its Permalex Metal Squeegees eliminate the scavenging and scooping that one gets when printing with rubber squeegees, without damaging the stencil. Rubber squeegees are more flexible and may cause deformation of the solder paste resulting in poor printing. Permalex offers extended life, with some customers reporting over 200 000 cycles according to Transition Automation.

Permalex squeegees help save time and money by reducing machine downtime and maintaining high quality paste printing across various product lines and through extended product cycles. Permalex Metal Squeegees are infused with a polymer lubricant to prevent stencil wear and damage.
