Amphenol, a leader in smartcard connector technology offers a product range that includes SIM/SAM; ISO 7816; AFNOR and Hybrids read/writers.
Simlock, the registered trade name for Amphenol's SIM/SAM card reader with a unique card guide locking system and ultra low profile, has made its name a standard in the mobile telecommunications industry. This surface mount connector is available in six contacts with or without switch. Typical dimensions are 28 x 20 x 2,5 mm (L x W x H).
Simblock is a SIM/SAM card reader without locking hood and is available in various heights up to 6 mm. This connector system is very versatile and can be adapted to customer needs. It is also available with or without switch.
The new Wingblock was developed for low profile or side entry applications where a card guide is necessary.
Amphenol manufactures a complete range of 'Full Smart Card' connectors for ISO, AFNOR or ISO+AFNOR applications. This range includes the basic low-cost wiping contact type, the high durability landing contact or landing card type and the Hybrid (magstripe and smartcard, TTL compatible) card reader/writers.
Innovative designs like anti-vandal slots, cupped contacts for reliable connection to card chip, various connect to PCB or sub-systems, various height PCB stand-offs, dual port versions for set top box applications, EMV and NSA compatibility and card guides, help ensure that the customer benefits from the company's experience in this technology.
