Vacuum tube company makes waves in SA market

e2v technologies, a UK-based manufacturing company with over 60 years experience in the production of gridded tubes, reports it is making waves in southern Africa through its local distributor, Denver Technical Products.

e2v technologies manufactures and markets a range of industrial triodes and tetrodes for use in pipe welding, induction and dielectric heating, plastic welding and RF drying applications.

Comments Denver's Mervyn Stocks: "This is an exciting development for Denver Technical Products, as tubes under the EEV brand had a presence in South Africa for many years and were well known for quality. This source of tubes complements our activity with vacuum capacitors, which we source from Comet, Switzerland and disc ceramic capacitors from SCT, France. This enables us to offer really good service to the replacement industrial market."

With a range of quality industrial gridded vacuum tubes, the company offers the market: increased choice, advanced technical experience and cost-effective solutions. The tubes range in power output from 4,5 kW to 530 kW, and many devices are direct equivalents to other manufacturers tubes, or can be used as replacements with manufacturer guidance.

e2v technologies' tubes are subjected to extensive high voltage conditioning and full functional RF/DC testing procedures, making these tubes a high quality purchase. Advanced technical experience allows e2v technologies to offer not only a standard range of products but also the ability to customise products to specific customer needs.
