Expanding its PT series of industrial relays, Tyco Electronics' new PTF relay is a 2-pole version that is identical in configuration to the popular PCLH series but comes in a low profile case with features such as sensitive coil and improved electrical life and isolation. Environmentally-friendly PTF series relays have cadmium-free AgNi (90/10) contacts.
The PTF 2-pole, 15 A relay is available with DC or AC coil, has a low profile height of 29 mm and mounting options include socket, PCB and top flange. An internal LED is optional to provide visual indication of coil supply status. Additionally, the lower coil power requirements of the PTF series enable improved temperature range from -55 to 70°C and increased voltage range over temperature.
Key specifications include rated current/voltage of 10 A/250 V a.c. or 15 A/120 V a.c. with a maximum switching voltage of 440 V a.c., and minimum contact load of 5 V d.c./100 mA. Nominal coil voltages are available from 6 to 220 V d.c. and 6 to 230 V a.c. with typical coil power of 0,75 W for the DC coil and 1,0 VA for the AC coil.
The relays withstand high levels of shock and vibration and are specified to protection category RT II (IEC 61810).
