The new MP500 series of sealed microswitches from Microprecision Electronics is especially developed for applications where high temperature resistance and long mechanical life are important.
The operating temperature for the MP500 series is between -40 and +130°C, short term up to +140°C. The sealed switches come with PCB and soldering pins. A completely over-moulded IP67 version is also available. The stainless steel actuators are designed to resist corrosive environments.
Despite its sub-miniature dimensions and the snap-action mechanism, the MP500 has a rating of 250 V a.c., 6 A. It has a mechanical life of up to 10 million switchings.
