Attachable extruded heat sinks take up little space

Fischer Elektronik has extended its range of heatsinks that carry heat away from single semiconductors. In order to meet market demand for effective heat dissipation in small spaces and with ease of installation of the transistors, a new product line of so-called 'attachable extruded heatsinks' has been developed.
These heatsinks which are made from extruded aluminium profile can be attached to electronic components of sizes TO220, TO247 and similar. The elasticity of the profile ensures that the component is securely held in place and that heat is effectively transmitted from the transistor into the heatsink by high contact pressure. Solderable fastening pins are pressed into the heatsink to allow it to be installed vertically on the PCB.
