Typical applications are 'clamper-damper' circuits as used in the horizontal deflection circuit of cathode ray tubes, electronic ballasts or any other application, where higher reverse voltages occur.
Devices with reverse voltage ratings up to 6000 V, and devices with forward currents up to 3 A, are available.
