Local IT solution provider Concilium Technologies launched Sourcefire's ground-breaking open source '3D approach to security' - Discover, Determine, Defend - at the recent Futurex Exhibition. Concilium holds sole SA distribution rights to Sourcefire products.
Says Craig Rosenwarne from Concilium, "Sourcefire's 3D system is the first and only comprehensive intelligent network defence system that unifies intrusion and vulnerability management technologies to provide customers with effective, realtime network security."
Sourcefire's 3D approach is a fully integrated, realtime process of discovering risks, vulnerabilities and threats; determining their business impact; and taking the most precise, appropriate action to defend the network.
Says Rosenwarne: "With the Sourcefire 3D approach, customers are able to more easily access the condition of the network in realtime, update and enforce policies, monitor and manage vulnerabilities, and respond quickly to security threats based on priorities."
"The Sourcefire 3D System, including Sourcefire Intrusion Sensors and Agents, Sourcefire RNA Sensors and the Sourcefire Defence Centre, offers the most all-around effective security available," Rosenwarne adds.
Concilium showcased the Sourcefire IS3000 gigabit intrusion detection/prevention solution, which has been awarded the 'NSS Approved' ranking from independent security test firm, The NSS Group. In addition, Concilium also showed VoIP performance management and service assurance products from Brix Networks, wireless solutions for automatic intrusion protection from AirMagnet, intelligent Physical Layer Switches from Apcon, and passive access monitoring products from Netoptics, as well as network security testing solutions from Agilent Technologies.
