Infineon's advanced multichip packaging and innovative OptiMOS technology enables a highly compact and efficient power stage for DC-DC conversion in CPU supplies.
Featuring a supply voltage of 12 V, maximum current of 30 A, the TDA 21201 integrated switch devices combine a complete DC-DC power stage for 12 V down to sub 2 V conversion in a single package. Typical applications are as CPU supply circuits for PC mainboards, VRM modules, and DC-DC converters.
High efficiency is possible due to reduced static and dynamic losses with optimised gate driver and MOSFET technologies. It has a three-state input for power-down (TTL compatible), and no external bootstrap components are needed. With shoot-through and overtemperature protection, the devices come in standard TO220-7 packages (SMD, and straight leads or staggered leads).
