DiagnoSYS launched the FaultFinder product Range at NEPON Brighton 2005. The company says FaultFinder provides commercial fault-finding and repair workshops with a cost effective, yet high integrity, diagnostic and analysis product for PCB board repair.
The FaultFinder family comprises FaultFinder System, FaultFinder VI Portable and the FaultFinder PCI.
Powerful digital and analog capabilities coupled with the company's proven TestVue32 software suite makes the FaultFinder System ideally suited to a wide range of PCB repair and failure analysis environments. With 152 test channels dedicated to synchronised active driver cards, analog network signatures and digital guards, the system provides extensive circuit analysis capability without the need for test fixturing. Being fully compliant with the Defence Standard 00-53, the extensive functional testing of individual ICs can also be performed with confidence.
The system can be further enhanced by adding the optional 1149.1 compliant XJTAG Boundary Scan software. This provides an ideal tool for checking BGA devices and also provides In System Programming facilities for Flash and FPGA devices.
With FaultFinder PCI, the PC can be turned into an effective PCB fault finding system. Utilising power-off test techniques and performing impedance analysis, it provides a safe method to rapidly locate the exact point of failure on a PCB.
Advanced software means that test programs can be generated in minutes through 'Auto Learn'. A fully automatic guided probe also makes fault identification easy, with all results collated and stored for future fault analysis and trend monitoring. For even greater fault coverage the FaultFinder Scanner Box increases the number of nodes that can be tested up to a maximum of 192 nodes. Incorporating an extensive built-in library, FaultFinder PCI and FaultFinder Scanner Box also help simplify programming large boards.
When repairs in the field are necessary, FaultFinder VI Portable delivers the functionality of FaultFinder PCI right where it is needed. The compact FaultFinder VI Portable has up to 192 test channels and ensures all test programs are fully portable for maximum flexibility.
