The latest addition to Apem's range of tact switches is a model with horizontal actuation, the D162-01, specifically designed for pick-and-place assembly.
Unlike the other horizontally-actuated tact switches, the D162-01 can be assembled automatically due to its flat metal top. Its main advantages are: reduced space requirement on PCB; possibility to be mounted on the edge of a board; superior coplanarity.
This product is intended for all the applications where a circuit is activated by pushbuttons mounted on a front panel, notably telecommunications equipment.
Contacts are gold-plated and maximum current/voltage rating is 50 mA, 12 V d.c. Actuating travel is 0,20 mm (±0,1 mm).
