μP supervisors with 32K/64K EEPROM

Catalyst Semiconductor has expanded its family of supervisors with embedded EEPROM memory with new 32K and 64K devices. The CAT1320/21 (32K) and CAT1640/41 (64K) supervisors provide support for microcontroller-based systems during power-up, power-down and all transitional power events. They feature a 64-byte page write operation for the serial EEPROM, and are cascadable for up to eight devices on the same I²C bus. Both devices provide a 200 ms reset time-out during power up/down; and during this time, writing to the EEPROM is disabled which eliminates the possibility of data corruption. In addition, the RESET pin can operate either as a regular output, or as a manual input that is internally de-bounced. Five threshold voltages are available: 2,55 V, 2,85 V, 3,0 V, 4,25 V, 4,55 V. They come in 8-pin PDIP, SOIC, TSSOP and 8-pad TDFN packages.
