Lem has released the ITB 300-S high accuracy current transducer, which is based on Fluxgate technology.
Briefly, this technology is described as follows: No use is made of Hall generators. The magnetic flux created by the primary current is compensated by a secondary current. The zero-flux detector is a symmetry detector using two wound cores connected to a square-wave generator. The secondary compensating current is an exact representation of the primary current.
Key specifications of the transducer are: nominal primary current, 300 A r.m.s. AC or DC; linearity, 0,001%; offset, 0,1 mA; thermal offset drift, 1 mA/K, overall accuracy, ±0,05%.
Key features and benefits: qualified for industrial and railway applications, no insertion losses, high immunity to external magnetic fields, wide temperature operating range - -40 to +85°C, 5,3 kV isolation.
