The Test & Measurement 2005 - Conference and Exhibition

The Test & Measurement 2005 - Conference and Exhibition will be held at Emperors Palace, (formerly Caesars Gauteng) on 5-7 September 2005.

Conference

This year, there will be a diversity of papers and presentations. Dr Lynne Webber of Lancet Laboratories, a well known figure in the medical pathology laboratory community, will entertain and challenge attendees with her keynote address: 'The Importance of Measurement - The next 25 years.'

In the Legal Metrology discussion there will be a lively debate on the various issues surrounding amongst others, volume measurements for trade/legal purposes. Senior staff from SABS Regulatory Affairs as well as key industry participants will be making contributions. There will also be a number of papers of interest to the industrial process control industry, and those who are involved in the 'process' industry will gain a deeper understanding of the various measurement issues involved here. Other papers and discussions to be presented include: Traceability and Uncertainty of Measurement; Accreditation; Lab Management; Food Safety and Phytosanitary.

Exhibition

The Conference has broken from its tradition of only having a closed exhibition and this year will be making 6-7 September open to the laboratory and measurement communities. Readers who are interested in attending will need to register via the National Laboratory Association website or by contacting the NLA office. There is no charge for attending the Exhibition, but attendance at the Conference is limited to registered conference attendees only.
