Transtel CEO retires

Transtel has announced that Alf Schulze, CEO of Transtel, will be leaving its employ effective from 31 December 2000.

This announcement was made in light of the recent structural changes which have been implemented in various business segments at Transnet and within Transtel. The new structures warrant that a group of three executives now conduct the day-to-day business at Transtel. Danie Botha, Arnold Cornelissen and Karl Socikwa will report directly to Transnet Executive Director, Sango Ntsaluba, until further notice.

Alf Schulze joined Transnet in 1969 after working as an intern on a four-year electrical engineering bursary. He was appointed CEO of Transtel in 1989.
