A miniature bistable relay for PCB mounting with a 5 A/250 V d.c. change-over contact, is available from Tyco Electronics. It meets today's requirements of a minimal footprint (20 x 10 mm and 10 mm high) combined with a high switching capability and reliability, says the company.
This bistable relay has one change-over contact, 3-48 V d.c. coil, and 4 kV dielectric strength between coil and contact.
Typical applications are in room thermostats, electricity meters, battery-driven devices, emergency standby units, and domestic devices.
