Tyco Electronics' RT-style power relay for 105°C ambient temperature at 16 A rated current is suited for applications with heavy loads at high ambient temperatures.
The RTH is able to switch 300 000 cycles of 2500 W heating elements at 105°C ambient temperature, making it well-suited for white goods like cooking and stove applications, for example. The development of relays for high temperature applications requires fundamental knowledge in material technologies as well as the relay design itself. Tyco created this 105°C/16A relay by a combination of special materials and innovative design.
Key features are: one C/O or one N/O contact; sensitive 400 mW coil; protection class II (VDE 0700) and 5 kV/10 mm coil-contact; height of only 15,7 mm.
