Epcos has introduced new SPICE models for its SMT inductors of the SIMID series. The libraries are available for sizes 0603, 0805, 1210, and 1812. Epcos developed these for both HSPICE and PSPICE for Linux, Unix and Windows, and they can be downloaded free of charge in zip format from www.epcos.com/tools.
This tool section now also includes a new SPICE library for NTC thermistors. With this, users can simulate circuits for temperature measurement and compensation. In addition, Epcos has upgraded its tools for SAW filters. The S parameter library has been expanded and new design tools and application notes for automotive applications have been added.
