Alternate slot EMI/RFI shielding gaskets are stronger

Tech-Etch has introduced three new EMI/RFI shielding, beryllium copper, alternate slot gaskets. Extending across the contact radius of these symmetrically profiled gaskets, the slots alternate from one side to the other. This design enhances the strength of the gasket while maintaining its flexibility, says the manufacturer.
These gaskets are ideal for bi-directional applications including sub-rack assemblies, plug-in units, front panel handles, backplanes, and other shielding and grounding enclosure applications. They require only a low closing force, and mounting on a track or extrusion provides the security of a mechanical assembly. They are available in a wide range of plating options.
