The DMM740 is an innovative concept design in digital multimeters – a handheld oscilloscope with an autoranging true-RMS multimeter. The DMM740 is equipped with a large, backlit LCD display that shows the numeric readings and waveforms simultaneously. The display is continually updated to provide a live presentation of the measurement information for the item under test. A 'Help text' button assists the user to set up the instrument for the desired function.
The 1 MHz DC bandwidth of the MT740 is ideal when viewing industrial signals such as controls, UPSs, switching power supplies and PLC controls with a fast sampling rate of 25 MSa/s. This exceptionally fast sample rate provides the ability to capture noise spikes, glitches and those evasive faults that are often missed with lower performance products. The DMM740 automatically determines the correct vertical and horizontal settings to provide optimum waveform viewing with the continuous Autoset feature.
Features include a component test, TTL and CMOS logic probe, frequency measurement to 2 MHz, resistance to 40 MOhm, AC and DC voltage and current.
The optional RS232 computer interface that operates on Windows 98 allows the operator to store the required waveform or data for later analysis.
