Pro-Em Electronics has been manufacturing 19" racks (Pro-Rack) since 1990. Although the company's product line-up has not changed much, innovative design changes have enabled it to improve the quality and speed of manufacture.
Additionally, the added value that Pro-Em offers its customers, has been expanded considerably.
Since Pro-Em has moved to bigger and better premises at Kyalami Business Park in Gauteng, it has more space to kit and populate racks for its customers. Pro-Em has many customers both locally and overseas, who send their equipment to them. Pro-Em mounts their equipment into racks, does any wiring if required, tests and packages the finished product. This then gets delivered locally or exported, as per the customer's requirements.
Pro-Em often sources kitting lists for its customers that are related to the same job, and sends these parts along with the same shipment. The company says that its customers comment that the savings are huge both logistically and financially.
Pro-Em manufactures and stocks a full range of standard sizes of racks and card frames. Standard sizes are for the convenience of the customer. Due to the flexibility of the Pro-Rack system, just about any size and colour can be manufactured.
