Gigavac has released two new high voltage relays. The G20 is a sealed single-pole, single-throw normally-open (SPST-NO) 28 kV, 110 A vacuum relay. The G22 is almost identical, but is rated 25 kV, 65 A, and has tungsten contacts for hot switching lower current loads. This relay type is generally used in wafer fabrication equipment, aerospace radar and ECM, and airport lighting systems.
Because these relays are sealed in a vacuum, they are impervious to external contamination and will offer years of failure-free operation. They are both 96 mm tall and 38 mm wide, and come with screw terminals for easy connections as well as through-panel mounting that keeps the high voltage and the control circuits far apart. This eliminates cross-talk and any chance of high voltage shorts to the coil circuit.
The G20 and G22 coil voltages are 12 V d.c., 26,5 V d.c., 115 V d.c. or customised; plus have Gigavac's exclusive changeable coil feature that allows users to change the coil even after the relay has been installed.
