The HV841 and the HV839 are two high voltage driver ICs from Supertex designed to drive two electroluminescent (EL) lamps with a combined area of up to 22,5 cm². They are intended for low noise, highly efficient backlighting solutions for dual LCD and keypad applications. The HV841 accepts a 2,0 V to 5,8 V input voltage and produces a nominal regulated output voltage of 100 V. It also features a very low shutdown current mode to minimise battery current in stand-by mode. The HV839 is a dual EL lamp driver with a nominal regulated output voltage of 90 V. The devices are available in lead-free MLP and MSOP packages.
