From Infineon Technologies, the POF transceivers are ideal for short-distance as a glass-fibre alternative. Plastic fibre links use simple and inexpensive LED transmitters. The SFH757 offers the advantages of plastic - including easy assembly since no fibre stripping is required.
Key features: data rate of DC to 50 Mbaud (100 Mbaud with peaking circuit); for distances of up to 100 m; full automotive temperature range: -40 to +85°C; 5 mm radial packages and SFH-V plastic connector housing.
