Mean Well has launched the USP-350 series, a 350 W U-bracket power supply with power factor correction (PFC) function. For the growing demand of low-profile middle wattage applications, it features soft switching and synchronous rectification.
All models have high efficiency, claimed to be up to 6% better that traditional topologies, and are able to supply 300 W with only free air convection cooling. With 0,39 W/cm³ power density, USP-350 series forms a compact 90-264 V switcher ideal for 1U (38 mm) installations.
Other key features include: universal AC input/full range; AC input active surge current limiting; built-in active PFC circuit compliance to EN61000-3-2; built-in protection.
Suitable application areas are general electronic application, factory automation, telecoms, networking, test and measurement and large size LCD TV. The USP-350 series measures 235,2 x 101,5 x 38 mm and complies with worldwide safety and performance standards from UL, CSA, TUV, CB, and CE.
