Comtest, sole southern African distributor for Fluke's products, has introduced what it is calling its 'summer range' from Fluke. The company has recently widened its electrical range with a host of new products, including the following:
* Fluke's 2042 is a professional general purpose cable locator, for tracing cables in walls and underground, locating fuses/breakers on final circuits and locating interruptions and short-circuits in cables and underfloor heating systems. It can also be used for tracing metallic water and heating pipes. The unit is supplied as a complete kit comprising a transmitter and receiver in a purpose-made carry case.
* Fluke's T50 offers a low cost solution to voltage/continuity measurement. It can measure AC and DC voltage to 690 V via 10 light-emitting diode (LED) voltage level indicators, has an acoustic continuity test and features a single pole test for phase detection.
* Fluke's 9040 is effective for measuring phase rotation in all areas where three-phase supplies are used to feed motors, drives and electrical systems. It is a rotary field indicator and can provide a clear indication of the three phases via an LCD display and the phase rotation direction to determine correct connections. It has a voltage and frequency range suitable for both commercial and industrial applications.
* Fluke's unique 9062 provides rotary field and motor rotation indication with the benefits of contactless detection. This 3-in-1 tester offers: rotary field indication; motor rotation indication; and contact-free determination of the rotation direction of running motors.
