Power-One's NET1-4130 is the first AC/DC power supply of its new NET1 Series featuring revolutionary EDGE technology. The patented efficient dual geometric edge (EDGE) technology increases the ability of next-generation systems to deliver greater output currents to Internet infrastructure and communications equipment. With EDGE technology, the NET1 series is capable of providing output current exceeding 100 A. The 240 W, quad-output, NET1-4130 has rated outputs of +1,8 V at 50 A, 3,3 V at 50 A, +5 V at 5 A and +12 V at 4 A. The NET1-4130 product provides current share and remote sense on all four outputs to facilitate redundant and N+1 applications.
The backbone of EDGE technology is an interleaved, multiple-channel forward converter using transitional resonant switching techniques, and controlled by proprietary leading and trailing edge pulsewidth modulation. Coupled with self-driven, active synchronous rectifiers, this results in highly efficient power conversion, according to the company. This efficient technology benefits the user with lower heat, better reliability, and significant size reduction. It provides over 100 A in dimensions of only 177,8 x 114,3 x 34,3 mm) to fit the industry-standard 1U size typically used in high-speed datacom and telecom systems.
The unit's active power factor correction (PFC) complies with EN61000-3-2. Overtemperature shutdown, overload and overvoltage protection are provided along with power fail and global output good signals.
