Thin and bright SMD LED displays

5 October 2005 Opto-Electronics

With high demand for compact sized displays worldwide, Kingbright has advanced its state-of-the-art design and developed a new thin and bright SMD LED display. The flat pad design with an inner connection eliminates the need for leads, allowing the leadless device to be assembled by automatic pick-and-place machines for easy PCB mounting.

The manual inserting process is eliminated which reduces time and decreases assembly costs. With only 3,8 mm in thickness and with character size choices of 5,08, 7,62 mm, 10,2 or 14,2 mm, the KP SMD display series is well-suited for compact devices that require digital numerical display capabilities and superior character appearance.
